CompliEye gives property and facilities teams a single, live view of every building's compliance factors, replacing the spreadsheets, email threads and contractor portals that hide the true picture.

The challenge

Managing compliance across a portfolio of commercial buildings means juggling planned maintenance, statutory inspections, reactive repairs, contractor vetting, risk assessments, incidents and the documentation to prove all of it. For most property teams, that work is scattered across multiple sources, manual spreadsheets, various inboxes and a range of different contractor portals and engagements. The real compliance position of any one building was never clear and the evidence never in one place.

CompliEye's founding team wanted to change that. They needed a product that could give a property manager a live, honest view of every site and turn compliance from a scramble before each audit into something routine. With ambition for the product both to be deployed internally and promoted as a SAAS product for the wider market, the architecture and planning needed to reflect these nuances and enable scaling organisation engagement and user experience requirements.

The solution

We worked with the CompliEye team from initial concept, designing and building the platform from scratch as a multi-organisation product. That means new property managers and their contractors can be onboarded independently without any new development. Every customer organisation experiences the platform with their own branding.

For the compliance team, we built a web platform that covers every site, floor, unit and asset; the maintenance regime each asset needs, drawn from industry standards; planned and reactive jobs; quotes, contracts and contractors; incidents and risk assessments; documents and reports. A dashboard shows what is compliant, what is due and what is overdue across the whole portfolio. We added contractor accreditation checking, severe weather warnings matched to the buildings they affect and a form builder so teams can create their own inspections without coming back to us.

For contractors, we built a mobile app. They receive jobs, carry out the work, evidence it with photos and forms, and get signed off. It keeps working on site without signal, which matters in basements and plant rooms. Over two years of fortnightly releases, the client has seen working software every fortnight, and we've taken the product through user acceptance testing with the launch customer.
